For 65 years the Lions Club of Merrickville have been a shining example of what it means to serve and build the foundation for a strong community. Happy anniversary to members past and present, and best wishes for the next 65 years! #WeServeAugust 31, 2019
Congratulations to the Portland on the Rideau Historical Society for the unveiling of the commemorative plaque for Admiral Sir Charles Kingsmill. As a key figure in the birth of the Royal Canadian Navy, it’s fascinating that he lived here in our community and that his story will be reflected upon by generations to come.
I had the opportunity to ride with officers from the Brockville Police Service to help inform me of the challenges our city police face. We are so fortunate to have the dedicated and professional uniformed and civilian members of the BPS serving our community. #PartnersForASafeCommunityAugust 30, 2019
It was egg-citing to meet with the folks at Burnbrae Farms and to hear about their industry leading animal care & their focus on being a sustainable agri-business. Their operation is supported by hundreds of hard working and knowledgeable employees who produce healthy products for Canadians. 🍳#GetCrackingAugust 15, 2019
It was a great opportunity to join Zac Wagman and the children participating in the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Foundation’s nature camp. Zac’s travelling coast to coast on a wooden bike as part of Project Learning Tree Canada’s Green Ride for Green Jobs. There are many exciting opportunities for youth such as forest management, conservation, wild life research, & environmental education.👩🌾👨🌾🌲🌿 🐢 🐍August 14, 2019
It was a terrific visit to the Brockville Public Library with CEO Emily Farrell! We discussed programming, operations, and Emily helped me practice how to properly read aloud for a children’s group. We even enjoyed a salad made by the Tinker Lab: Grow program - made with herbs grown at the library! Emily and her team have created a great environment where residents can Engage, Evolve, and Experience!August 14, 2019
