After a tough year in 2019, our farmers and ag producers have been hit hard by COVID-19. The Government announced its plan for the agriculture sector this week, but there is obviously much more to be done. Thanks to Bruce Wylie and 104.9 JRFM for the conversation today.

The Canada Emergency Student Benefit was passed by Parliament. The Official Opposition emphasized that the Government needs to provide students with employment opportunities, and not just government aid.

Local business needs an immediate injection of cash.
May 1st rent is coming due for businesses and a loan of $40,000 (if they qualified) won’t pay the bills for March, April, May, and beyond. The wage subsidy helps (if they qualified and) if their business hasn’t been shut down.
